Beaverton Education Foundation June 30 - August 20 (flexible end date)
Summer Internship 12 hours / week (Tue-Wed-Thur)
$16.30 / hour
The Beaverton Education Foundation (BEF) raises money from the community to provide hands-on, innovative, academic programs and projects to support students in all 54 Beaverton schools. These innovations go beyond normal school funding to ensure students have an opportunity to learn, thrive and reach their highest potential. https://www.beavertonedfoundation.org/
We are seeking a highly organized, tech-savvy, and creative summer intern to help coordinate our premier 1-day gratitude event that will take place in October. You may be familiar with BEF’s phone-a-thon—Answer The Call. This year, we are taking a different approach. You will help coordinate logistics for teams and clubs of student volunteers as they call donors to thank them for their support of students and the Beaverton Education Foundation on a 1-day calling event.
The ideal candidate is a "behind-the-scenes" leader who enjoys tech logistics, database research, and content strategy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Logistics & Tech Infrastructure Planning
Device Mobilization: Prepare and audit a fleet of 60 Android devices; verify VoIP software functionality, manage account setups, and design the "Charging Hub" protocol for the event site.
Operational Flow: Design the shift-change workflows that will govern how students move through the event waves.
2. Content Strategy & Media Modeling
● The "Innovation Map" Research: Conduct a deep-dive audit of BEF-funded projects across the district to create a "School-Specific Investment Guide." This guide will allow student volunteers to quickly identify exactly what BEF has funded in their specific buildings.
● Creative Prototypes: Script and film "model videos" to serve as templates for student groups. These examples will show teams how to create high-quality, school-specific thank-you content that focuses on BEF investments.
3. Impact Reporting & Seasonal Strategy
● Impact Report Design: Support the design and drafting of the 2025-26 BEF Impact Report, translating complex project data into student-centered stories of innovation.
● Season of Giving Prep: Organize the pre-produced digital assets and project stories into a "Campaign Vault" that BEF will use during the year-end Giving Season in November and December.
QUALIFICATIONS
● Technical Proficiency: Experience with Android OS and mobile apps; ability to troubleshoot hardware/software interfaces.
● Information Design: Strong ability to organize data (spreadsheets, team lists) into manageable logistics plans for teams and staff.
● Creative Direction: Experience in video concepting, basic editing, or social media content creation.
● Strategic Thinker: Someone who can visualize an event’s needs months in advance and build systems to prevent "day-of" bottlenecks.
WORK SCHEDULE
